Plants safe to use in gecko enclosures — curated from our own experience and trusted sources.

Important: Always wash plants thoroughly before placing them in an enclosure. Remove any pesticide-treated plants. When in doubt, leave it out!

Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

Excellent for climbing, very hardy, tolerates low light

Great for humidity, provides hiding spots and water collection

Good ground cover, stays small

Many varieties, easy care, non-toxic

No soil needed, great for mounting on cork bark

Adds lush look, loves humidity — avoid asparagus fern
